On a dark, overcast morning at approximately 06h15 in the KNPark we were driving on the H4-1 (Elof st ) between Skukuza and high bridge H-12.It was the 1st of Nov.2018, a day to remember forever. Half way down the tar road I noticed that a car had stopped and was watching something walking on the road. My immediate thought was “honey badger ” but on approaching closer I saw to my amazement that it was a PANGOLIN. Adrenaline started soaring😁. To stumble upon this extremely rare and highly endangered species in day time is truly an experience of a lifetime. This is only my second sighting of one in 28 years. He / She stayed in close proximity of the vehicle for a long time then slowly sauntered off into the denser bush. We had just witnessed and photographed something that was truly special and amazing that not too many people have had the good fortune of seeing.
I hope one day that, you too, can experience something of this nature.
